Road Trip!

Keep your eyes upon the road and just don't think about the weather; oh holy fuck oh holy fuck oh holy FUCK!

HOME! HOME SWEET, SAFE, SOUND, RELAXING HOME!

It was great to get away and the motorcycle road-trip experience is one everyone should experience, but I've gotta say THANK FUCKING GOD! Coming back through the Adelaide hills we had four or five different winds fighting over who would get to bash us around the most; from the left, from the right, from the front... at 110 kmh we were nearly blown off the road a few times so I slowed down... then I slowed down some more... then I slowed down even more... the cars started queueing to go past us.... I slowed down a little more after an incident with the edge of the road... at one point I saw a 3 year old overtake us on one of those plastic Barbie 3-wheelers... (How's that, Gorgeous? Better? Hehe) but it was ok, because she smiled and waved at us on her way past...

...and just when I thought things couldn't get more hair-raising, it started to rain! Haha awesome... but it was strangely good because it made for a level playing field... the cars, you see, were unaware of the cross-winds... but when the roads got slippery they were afraid... VERY afraid... whereas I was already...

hehe but enough of the dark and gloomy... the trip was good. It was enjoyable on several levels... there was the nostalgic association with that particular stretch of highway, since I grew up down that way and travelled that road... well, must be hundreds of times. It was interesting to see how some things never change in country towns... and in some way that was very comforting: kinda like my childhood is still there, somewhere...

Also it was really nice to feel so welcomed by Pip's whole family; everyone was so nice and hospitable. Did I spell that right? Hehe too lazy right now to check. But it was just so... home. And that's something I haven't felt in over a decade... I had this epiphanous moment when the kids were running around Naomi's flat, Sue was talking to Pip and the tv was on, I suddenly felt so part of something. I got all these images in my head about christmases together and had this overwhelming urge to sms Mum and say just "I'm so happy, Mum. I'm going to marry this one I just know it."

But BLAH... Enough of the pukey stuff.

We hardly saw JB, because he got funny about sitting around Mt Gambier (I guess I can't blame him) and he took off. We haven't seem him since but he's been texting us every so often. He's still out there somewhere, in this awful weather... but we told him not to take off and I guess he knows what he's doing... hopefully I'll talk to him soon. It's hell out there. I know he had a much different trip to us... I get the impression ours was alot more enjoyable hehe. ;)

But enough. I'm tired, I'm looking forward to sitting down for a while. The wind-powered serpent no longer writhes beneath my all too powerless hands and I'm looking forward to drinking Johnnie and basking in that oh-so-precious time where I don't have to do ANYTHING.

Until next time... stay... well, stay YOU.

Back online. Finally!

To start I'd just like to say "Wow!"

I can't believe how much debate and (dare I even say it?) THOUGHT that topic generated!

I really didn't think that many people even READ my rants. I should perhaps even be a little embarrassed if you all read ALL of my posts. But I won't. After all, I *am* ME!

But yes, I am finally back online and hence finally able to post a new topic.

Neat, huh?

And just a quick point for El Pablorito before I let the subject of sexist jerkism lie; I think you kinda missed the point - rather let it drown amidst your all-too-dominant predisposition to look down upon yourself. And I can tell you now FROM EXPERIENCE, that girls DO end up with nice guys in the end, and the sex is fucking GREAT. Perhaps yes, the girl AND the guy do screw around with some stupid jerks before finally sorting it out and settling with someone great but hey, it all works out for the best in the end.

;-)

Hmm. What's new, you (don't) ask? Well... I have two ouchies. I hurted myself at work. TWICE!

But I learned a fantastic lesson today, and that is that being proven right after copping an earful is so damn satisfying it almost hurts! HAH!

Hmm... I'm supposed to be lugging heavy stuff right now so that Brettski can move his shit in tomorrow but hey, I only just got the net back so heavy stuff can wait.

WELCOME BRETTSKI! Now our household is complete and we can begin our plans for our terrific housewarming. Themes? Themes? THEMES? Themes. Al... right.

Blablabla I'm out of practise at this. Practice? Practise? Who knows. I'm tired. I'm leaving.
